One of the two major schools of Thai traditional massage is "Chiang Mai style". Traditional Thai massage "Chiang Mai style" is a school of traditional Thai massage that is performed mainly in Chiang Mai, the second city of the Kingdom of Thailand. Unlike body care, which relieves stiffness partially, it is a treatment method that approaches the whole body.

Traditional Thai massage, which is also called “Yoga for two people”, combines elements of Oriental medicine such as shiatsu, chiropractic, and qigong with yoga poses and stretching. It is also rated as "the best yoga in the world" and "the most pleasant massage in the world".

“Chiang Mai style”, like “Bangkok style”, sends chi (prana) to the energy line “Sen” that flows through the whole body, not only loosens stiffness, but also activates the autonomic nerves of the client, is a treatment that balances hormones.

I get a lot of questions about how it's different, but Chiang Mai style has a slightly stronger yoga element than Bangkok style. It is a style that gives a soft and elegant impression throughout. It is a type of treatment that walks by alternately pressing instead of pressing tightly with both thumbs. "Chiang Mai style" is rather soft with a light touch. Rather than the “Bangkok style” that reduces stiffness, it is a style that feels like you are in good shape by receiving it on a daily basis. There are parts that are conscious of yoga poses, and there are many parts that look like walking with a delicate touch, so it's a style that feels a little artistic even if you look at it.

"Chiang Mai Style" includes stretches incorporating yoga-like poses. It is said that ``Chiang Mai style'' has more stretch than ``Bangkok style'', but in fact, it seems that there is not much difference in the overall ratio.

Chiang Mai was originally a Lanna Kingdom. Since it joined the Kingdom of Thailand 50 years ago, it seems that Bangkok and Chiang Mai are often considered in comparison in Thailand. Chiang Mai style is a popular massage style for Westerners, but if you follow the flow, you will be able to do the treatment for about 2 hours. After learning "Bangkok style", there are so many people who learn this "Chiang Mai style", and many professional therapists who love traditional Thai style wear not only "Bangkok style" but also "Chiang Mai style". It seems that.
