In Western medicine, the condition of fatigue is not considered to be a disease (except for chronic fatigue syndrome). Therefore, basically, Western medicine does not treat with medicines. It is also a fact that despite the examination, no abnormalities are found and it is often said that there is no abnormality in the body. When asked, "Then, what is the cause of this dullness?", It is sometimes said that it is caused by mental things, "Isn't it because of my mind?"

The symptom of tiredness is medically called "fatigue" and is a symptom of a wide variety of illnesses such as anemia, low blood pressure, liver and kidney damage, and pneumonia. It is necessary to pay attention to one's physical condition, accept the SOS signal of fatigue sent by the brain obediently, and take appropriate measures for recovery from fatigue such as short breaks, rests, sleep, rest for several days, and nutritional supplementation. increase.

I can't get tired, it's hard to get up in the morning, and I don't know the cause even if I go to the hospital. Recently, it has been pointed out that one of the causes of these symptoms is the possibility of "adrenal fatigue," in which the function of the adrenal glands, which secrete various hormones, declines. The adrenal glands are small pyramidal organs above the kidneys that secrete the anti-stress hormone (cortisol). When the adrenal glands are exhausted by stress, hormone secretion deteriorates and stress cannot be dealt with, resulting in symptoms such as chronic fatigue and depressive symptoms. This is "adrenal fatigue syndrome".

Fatigue is subjective, so no matter how tired you think you are, if the test results are normal, you won't get the name of the disease. Immediately after that, it is said that "there is no guts" and "because of the spirit", and when I notice it, I am made "lazy". It may be adrenal fatigue syndrome.

One of the ideas of Kampo medicine is the idea of "ki, blood, and water." It is thought that the homeostasis of the body is maintained by going around the body in a state where these three elements are just right. The lack of "ki", one of these three factors, is related to the dullness of the body. "Qi" is energy, energy, mood, and motivation, and qi is considered to be the fundamental energy that exists in the body. This state of lack of qi, that is, the state of lack of energy in the body, is called "kikyo" in Kampo medicine. Dullness is a typical symptom of this emptiness.

After being born in this world, people maintain their bodies by breathing, eating and drinking water. People take oxygen into their bodies by breathing, and take in water and proteins by digesting and absorbing food and drink. Oxygen and protein were not known more than 2000 years before the outbreak of Kampo medicine, so in Kampo medicine, it is thought that people take in air from food and drink through the digestive tract such as the gastrointestinal tract and from the air through the lungs. It was.

If you have a gastrointestinal upset, have a lung disease, or if your food, drink, or air does not contain enough qi, you will not be able to take in enough qi and maintain a sufficient amount of qi. I will run out of energy. This lack of energy is a state of emptiness. If you have a bad stomach, you may feel tired. This is a symptom of dullness as a result of deficiency caused by less gastrointestinal absorption.

On the other hand, overuse of qi also causes deficiency of qi. Qi is constantly consumed in the body, but so-called "care" can cause overconsumption. The condition of deficiency can be caused by various factors, but more or less, the symptom of deficiency is that the body feels tired.
