In addition to pain, the neck is an important organ that connects the body to the nerves and blood vessels of the brain, so the burden on that part also affects the autonomic nerves and causes various symptoms. If you continue to lean forward for a long period of desk work, the gently curved neck bone (cervical spine) may become a "straight neck" that extends straight forward. Since the neck and shoulder muscles are connected, stiff shoulders and stiff neck often occur at the same time.
